Good Secrets and Bad Secrets

Three-Part Approach to End Child Abuse:

Awareness

Prevention

Intervention

Child abuse and cruelty are global epidemics that are preventable through the Good Secrets and Bad Secrets 3-Step Approach.

The first step is Awareness. Awareness involves communicating to everyone that the problem exists.  This will be accomplished through our global ambassador for child safety, Libby the Lizard.

Part two of this approach is Prevention, which is teaching and reinforcing safe personal boundaries.  This includes building healthy and balanced self esteem, setting expectations and rules between children and adults. Finally, the third step is Intervention.

Intervention is the responsibility of everyone when they suspect the inappropriate treatment of a child.  It is also taking safe, appropriate, and effective action to protect the child.

The success of these three steps involves engaging adults and children in the process of communication and action if a child is in danger.  Believing the child can sometimes be difficult, however, we must err on the side of protecting the child.

These three steps are the foundation on which Good Secrets and Bad Secrets delivers effective programs, products, services, and measurable results, e.g.:
